Arasur is located at the hinge between the Mediterranean and Atlantic Arcs. Near the Port of Bilbao, the Port of Pasajes and the airport of Foronda, it lies at the junction of the toll roads AP-1 (Burgos-Armiñón), AP-68 (Bilbao-Zaragoza) and the A-1 main road (Madrid-Irún), and is crossed by the rail line linking Madrid with the port of Pasajes and Irún and the railway line from Barcelona to the port of Bilbao.
